Poem: Marriage Insecurities

Talking about our insecurities.

Both of us feel nothing will ever be good enough.

Then you say the words that take mine away.

“I adore you.”

“You are altogether beautiful, my darling, and there is no blemish in you.” Song of Solomon 4:7

Prayer:
What increased security and confidence there is when a man declares adoration for his wife! This is most pleasing to You, my Father, as this builds a stronger bond in the marriage relationship. May my darling and I continue to seek and express the adoration we had for each other when we first dated yet grow deeper in this with love as the years pass. In this way, our insecurities will become less and we will become more zealous for each other. Thus, we will live more fully by Your desire that we have affection and intimacy in the marriage covenant. Thank you for this covenant and all the beauty that comes from a spouse that adores me! Amen!
