Just because someone is exhibiting abundant joy doesn’t mean they have less problems in their life. They’ve just learned how to turn their grief into gratitude; a skill which takes deliberate, daily cultivation as it doesn’t come naturally.

“Rejoice always;
pray without ceasing;
in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”‭‭  1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:16-18‬

Prayer:
My God, Who is my trust, my comfort, and my shield; it is right to rejoice always and I prayfully, without ceasing, give thanks in everything. Even in my moments of grief I find gratitude by deliberately focusing my mind on my protection and blessings in Christ. Thank You for this peace and assurance. Amen.

Truth in love,
Heather
