I’ve observed her tangled heart for years,
Living a downtroddened life,
She wasn’t expecting.
Her husband commanding and demanding from her,
No love in the way she desires,
Nor the security needed.
His impulses and anger getting the best of him,
Her cleaning up the messes,
Hoping things will change.
Him provoking her to her own trespasses,
Always in repentence and humility,
Rectifying it herself.
Her tested faith preserves her in letdowns,
Hanging on for something greater,
Even if just by a hair.
Your fortitude inspires me graceful woman,
Where others have failed,
You are enduring.
What strength you have in your weary spirit,
To keep your commitment,
In an arduous marriage.
Your faithfulness will be generously rewarded,
By that something greater,
You hold on to.
My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Psalms 62:5-7
My Rock, my Salvation, my Stronghold, my God, I thank You for graceful women who take refuge in Your arms and endure difficult marriages. Their strength inspires me in my own faithfulness. May Your mercy rest upon them as they continue in their plight, looking unto You as their hope of a greater life eternally. How grateful I am that You save them with Your generous reward through the precious blood of our Savior. Amen.
Truth in love,
