When I hear the birds of the air, I hear them singing:
“We are happy,
We are fed,
By the Father’s hand,
We get our bread.”
When I see the lilies of the field, I see them expressing:
“We are beautiful,
We are dressed,
By the Father’s hand,
We are blessed.”
When I consider these of lesser esteem, I consider my Father’s comforting:
“You are valuable,
So much more than they,
Remember the birds and the lilies,
And don’t worry about this day.”
Inspired by Matthew 6:25-34
Prayer:
Thank you, Father, for the birds and the lilies that remind me that all my days are held in the palm Your hand. Amen.
Truth in love,
Heather
