Poem: The Love Letter

I read it every day,
And kept wondering why,
No one in this world,
Could ever satisfy.

Then the thought came,
The one waited for,
Your words are unmatched,
Authentic to the core.

No love is perfect,
Just like yours,
Selflessly giving,
The grace that cures.

Wanting grows deeper,
Each day I view,
The scripts of Your devotion,
My heart You subdue.

You’re the only one,
No one can compare,
To fulfill the longing,
That is always there.

I will keep reading,
The love letter I cherish,
Until we meet in heaven,
Then yearning will perish.

…..having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better. Philippians‬ ‭1:23‬b

There is no one in this world that can compare to my Savior! My God, His Father, I never could grasp why the more I got to know Him, the more I have felt a sense of something missing. Now I understand that it is a longing that no one in this life can ever fulfill. It is that deep yearning desire to depart and be with Christ in the arms of His undying love that He has expressed to me in His love letters of scripture. Thank You, God, that I have these words until we meet face-to-face. Amen.

Truth in love,
