It takes patience and persistence to get out of debt. It also takes patience and persistence to stay out of debt. Tremendous willpower must be exhibited in both cases, but only one will provide a sense of freedom. Would you rather get yourself into a hole where this willpower is forced for survival or start with choosing the same willpower to never get in the hole? Use your willpower now and avoid shoveling your way to surmounting debt.
The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower becomes the lender’s slave. Proverbs 22:7
Prayer:
My God of freedom, I only want to be a slave to You. I will use my willpower of patience and persistence to avoid unnecessary debt at all cost to be free from the burdens of living beyond my means. I am content with what You provide, and I am grateful for every blessing of needs met. Amen.
