Poem: A Husband’s Understanding

I whine
I complain
You hold my hand
Through all the pain

I’m depressed
I’m stressed
You wipe each tear
Through every mess

I moan
I groan
You hold me close
So I don’t feel alone

I’m tired
I’m weak
You give me the love
That I desperately seek

I’m irritable
I’m mad
You show the understanding
That makes me glad

Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered. I Peter 3:7

Father, thank you for an understanding husband who loves me in spite of my ailments and weaknesses. How blessed I am to share in this relationship of honor and to be an heir with him of the grace of life! Amen!

Truth in love,
