It’s tough
These woes of life
To see them unfold
Gives my heart strife
A man works
And for what you say
To do it all again
Laboring day after day
Where is rest
Not in his position
Rules and regulations
Are his daily mission
Then comes the rival
Waiting to succeed
He does whatever it takes
Backstabbing for greed
Why do it
He has a family to feed
He puts up with vanity
To supply their need
I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a man and his neighbor. This too is vanity and striving after wind. Ecclesiastes 4:4
Prayer:
My holy Father, it is tough for those who labor to provide income for their families. All the woes involved in working can be hard to endure and to watch. Yet, there is a blessing to be realized as every penny earned is the means to provide for the needs of those who are dependent on them. This is why we put up with these vanities in life. Please help us to face each day gracefully in spite of what we face, and let us remember that ultimately we are laboring for You. Amen.
Truth in love,
Heather
