Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3
It was the summer of 2011 when we did something we knew could make or break us financially. What was supposed to be a short trip to San Antonio turned into a venture to California to see if my husband could be picked up for some work.
Why were we doing this? So many reasons, but the top motivating factors were the opportunity to make money to get us out of a financial bind, my husband to expand his exposure and knowledge as a lineman, and the adventure of traveling and living in different places.
With the uncertainty of it all we absolutely knew one thing to be true. Where ever we ended up we would serve God, and if for some reason that was going to be hindered, we would leave and go back home to Texas.
We didn’t know how it would all turn out, but we knew that we were commited to the works of God. Whether or not He opened these doors, we were going to be faithful. Those plans were already established and were not dependent on any door here on earth being opened.
