Life naturally reveals whether what we do (action) or don’t do (inaction) is good or bad through consequences. We often identify the bad consequences with mistakes. When we understand that mistakes are a part of life, then we can understand that what matters most is what we do with those mistakes.
Are you continually making the same mistakes and expecting different results only to find life rebuking you once again with the same bad consequences? What can you learn from those mistakes to change and produce good consequences?
Life is speaking to us. Let us open our ears and humble our hearts to hear its rebukes so that we will abide among the wise.
Prayer:
My God, I choose to open my ears to the rebukes of life as I learn from my mistakes so I can gain wisdom from my failures. In this way I know that I will abide among the wise and be pleasing to You. In Christ, Amen.
