To Be an Enemy

So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth? Galatians 4:16

Don’t want to be an enemy
But I have to tell the truth
Their ways are against God
They need to hear reproof

Don’t want them to feel bad
About things they may not know
It’s going to cause commotion
It’s going to be a big blow

They’ve always thought different
It was good to believe this way
But now I have to tell them
These things are not okay

Doctrines that are false
Marriages that aren’t right
Practices that can’t be
With scriptural insight

How can I do this
I may lose a dear friend
I hope they will listen and see
I pray they will comprehend

I have to love their soul
More than these fears inside
So I must say something
To let truth in love abide

Prayer:
I don’t want to be anyone’s enemy, but Father, I know sometimes that’s what it takes to speak the truth in love. Please give me the boldness and discernment to overcome my fears and say something in order to save a soul from death. Amen.
