My Daughter’s Struggle

I’m Failing as a Mother

We as Americans place high value on academics and competitive activities. While I find it wonderful that these things can be advantageous to encourage learning and build character, there is a problem when we use these American values as most important to identify what success in life is.

Warning Our Children

A warning such as this can only be effective if I am living by these principles. I am not only advising them to beware of others, but also of myself as I could be that person that they love and trust that leads them astray.
