Consistency by Faith

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬

To live out your vision of a Christian by loving the Lord with your whole heart, soul, and mind, and to test your perspectives by the fruit of the Spirit, you must diligently seek the Lord by faith. Since it is impossible to please God without faith, you must learn exactly what faith in God is all about. Your faith is not a faith that just believes, but one that seeks to know Him and His desires. Your faith consistently works to transform your heart to have a closer relationship with God and be an effective worker in His kingdom. Faith in God is the reason you have this vision in the first place, and consistently growing in that faith is what will keep you faithful to your vision. Your faith is made known by the word of God so you must consistently read and study the scripture to know how to love Him. And then, you must meditate and pray consistently to effectively put into action — with the right godly perspectives —  this love in your daily walk by the Spirit.

Consistency is about creating and transforming habits so that you will be continually growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord. Your changes will not always be easy, comfortable, or even swift, but your efforts in consistency by faith will be of someone who diligently seeks God. For this, He will reward you. And with consistent works of faith, you will find more understanding to the question of, “who do you want to be?

Prayer:
By faith I diligently seek You, God. Faith is the reason why I practice consistency by faith. This is how I will learn to better love You and walk by the fruit of the Spirit. This is what I must do to grow in my devotion and understanding of how to please You. By faith I consistently read and study Your word. By faith I consistently meditate on your precepts and examine myself. By faith I consistently pray with trust in Your love and justice. By faith I consistently act with godly character. By faith I consistently strive to put away all evil desires and sin. By faith I am consistently transforming myself because I love You, Father. You are the mighty and holy God who will reward me as I diligently seek You daily through Christ. Amen.

Truth in love,
Heather
