Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
I pray to God with a thankful heart and He gives me peace through Christ. No matter my circumstances or understanding, I am faithful and safe in the arms of Jesus.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6
I trust in the Lord with all my heart and do not lean on my own understanding. In all my ways I acknowledge Him, and He makes my paths straight.
The mind of man plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9
I do my part in seeking wisdom to make the best decisions I can, while also trusting that God will direct me where He needs me. In faithfulness to Him, I trust God’s will above my own.
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8
God’s word is true and I believe it. He sent his noble Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem a sinful world. Although God will be just in His judgment of the hearts of men, He demonstrates His grace and pure love for mankind by providing a way for redemption through Christ. The fact that Jesus died as a sacrifice for man’s sins is a lovely story, and my good report is that I have died with Him to have redemption for heaven. As Jesus’ disciple, He is my example of virtue so I will learn to suffer with the same endurance and trust in the Father that He had. No matter what happens to me physically, I know that I am protected spiritually through Christ, and this is what I find praiseworthy in spite of my situation.
Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:11-13
Whether I have much or have little, whether things are going how I want them or not, whether I am liked by many or disliked by most, I am content in every circumstance for I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, “I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU,” Hebrews 13:5
I am content with whatever I have because I know that no matter what, Jesus will never desert or forsake me. He is all I need to find fulfillment in this life.
Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. I Timothy 6:6-8
God knows best. He will give me what I need not everything I desire. Having food and clothing, with these I am content.
And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. II Corinthians 12:9-10
God’s grace is sufficient no matter what I face. I am strengthen by the power of Christ that rests upon me through every trial. For when I am weak, then I am strong.
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. James 1:2-3
Trials bring me great joy for it is through trials that I gain the greatest opportunity for growth. I will gain more patience through this trial.
What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Romans 8:31-32
God is for me, who can be against me? God gave His Son for me thus He will give me everything I need to endure.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39
I am a conqueror through Christ. God’s love protects me in Christ. No one can separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Romans 5:1-4
Having been justified by faith in Christ, I rejoice in the hope I have in God. I glory in tribulations as they produce perseverance, character, and hope.
No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. I Corinthians 10:13
God does not allow me to be tempted beyond what I can bear. God provides the way of escape so that I can bear every temptation. I choose the way of escape when tempted.
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. I Peter 5:6-7
I commit myself to humbly serve God and trust Him to hear my concerns. I know God hears me because He cares for me.
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? Matthew 6:26
God takes care of the birds, how much more will He take care of me?
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:33-34
I seek first God’s kingdom and know that I can trust in Him for whatever tomorrow brings. I will live my best today to prepare for a better tomorrow. Today is all I have. I will make the best of it and put everything else is God’s hands.
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; I Peter 2:9
I am special to God. I am in the light and I walk in the light.
Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me? Psalms 56:3-4
Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You. In God (I will praise His word), In God I have put my trust; I will not fear. What can flesh do to me?

I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. Psalms 18:1-2
I will love You, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. For who is God, except the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God? It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect. Psalms 18:30-32
God is my shield. I trust in Him. It is God who arms me with strength, And makes my way perfect.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:1-4
Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29
I run to Jesus. He gives me rest. I am gentle and lowly like Jesus. I find rest for my soul.
Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32

I follow the Great Shepherd. No one can take me away from Him. I shall never perish.
“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:11-12

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2
It is God who directs me, not the world. I am renewing my mind every day as I seek God’s perfect will.

I overcome every evil with good.
